Welcome to TimeAnchor ("Service," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our intelligent task management application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and TimeAnchor. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

TimeAnchor is an intelligent task management Progressive Web App (PWA) that provides:

• Task creation, organization, and management tools
• Intelligent scheduling based on priority, due dates, and availability
• Google Calendar integration for automatic event creation and synchronization
• Offline functionality via Progressive Web App technology
• Work hours configuration and timezone support
• Background image customization

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use TimeAnchor, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid email address
• A secure password
• Your name

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Security

You agree to:

• Use a strong, unique password for your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Not share your account credentials with third parties
• Log out from your account at the end of each session on shared devices

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use TimeAnchor for lawful personal or business task management purposes.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without permission

5. Google Calendar Integration

5.1 Authorization

When you connect your Google Calendar, you authorize TimeAnchor to:

• Read your calendar events to analyze availability
• Create calendar events when you schedule tasks
• Update calendar events when you modify scheduled tasks
• Delete calendar events when you complete or delete tasks

5.2 Scope Limitations

TimeAnchor will ONLY access calendar events necessary for task scheduling functionality. We will NOT:

• Read, modify, or delete calendar events we did not create
• Share your calendar data with third parties
• Use calendar data for advertising or unrelated purposes

5.3 Disconnection

You may disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from the Settings page. This will revoke our access to your calendar, but existing calendar events created by TimeAnchor will remain in your calendar.

6. User Content and Data

6.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create in TimeAnchor (tasks, notes, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.2 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you provide. We are not responsible for any loss or corruption of your data. We recommend keeping backup copies of important information.

6.3 Data Backup

While we implement reasonable backup procedures, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data. We are not liable for data loss.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 TimeAnchor Property

The Service, including its design, code, graphics, logo, and features, is owned by TimeAnchor and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7.2 Third-Party Content

The Service may include content from third parties (e.g., Unsplash images). Such content is subject to the respective third party's terms and licenses.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using TimeAnchor, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide uninterrupted service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Unscheduled technical issues
• Third-party service disruptions (e.g., Google Calendar API)
• Force majeure events

9.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TimeAnchor shall NOT be liable for:

• Loss of data, profits, or revenue
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Damages caused by third-party services (e.g., Google Calendar)
• Missed deadlines or scheduling errors

10.3 Maximum Liability

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to TimeAnchor in the past 12 months (or $100 if no fees were paid).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TimeAnchor, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your content or data

12. Third-Party Services

TimeAnchor integrates with third-party services, including:

• Google Calendar: Subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• Unsplash: Subject to Unsplash's API License and Terms
• PostHog: Subject to PostHog's Privacy Policy

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or policies of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

13. Billing and Payments

13.1 Free Service

TimeAnchor is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, which will be subject to separate terms.

13.2 Future Paid Features

If we introduce paid features:

• We will provide clear pricing information
• You will have the option to opt-in to paid features
• All charges will be disclosed before billing
• Refund policies will be clearly stated

14. Export Control

The Service may be subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. You agree not to export, re-export, or transfer the Service to any prohibited country or person in violation of applicable laws.
